There are two distinct diseases caused by Legionella bacteria, legionnaires&#8217; and pontiac fever diseases. Air conditioning, hot tubs, water tanks are places where breeding can occur. Sectors that need to pay particular attention are health and tourism, where crowded crowds of people gather or stay together.<\/p>\n<p>Samples taken from the field are transported to the laboratory with a cold chain. The samples, which are concentrated by membrane filter or centrifugation method, are transferred to the media. After incubation and verification, results are obtained within 10-12 days.<\/p>\n<p>The units affiliated to the Ministry of Health carry out inspections on Legionella analysis.
