Pool Water Analysis

Pool water analysis is a type of analysis performed within the scope of the Regulation on the Health Principles to be Subject to Swimming Pools.

In pools used for swimming, pool water analysis is performed physically, chemically and microbiologically. The process is completed with on-site sampling, measurement, analysis and reporting.

Public Health Directorates carry out inspections and monitoring in swimming pools for commercial purposes. At least one sample should be taken and analyzed every month from swimming pools in facilities with commercial use. The reports of Public Health Laboratories are valid for swimming pools used for commercial purposes (hotels, schools, gyms…). The values obtained as a result of the analyzes must meet the limit values specified in the regulation.

There is no obligation to have pool water analyzed in the Public Health Laboratory for pools that are used for personal use and do not have commercial purposes such as site pools.

Samples containing microbiology analysis should reach the laboratory as soon as possible and analysis procedures should be started. In addition, sterilization of the sampling container is very important in microbiological analysis, samples should be taken in sterile containers and transported in the appropriate cold chain. Analysis should be started within 24 hours at the latest.

AEM Laboratory is an organization accredited by Türkak for pool water analysis with its expert staff, technical facilities and quality service. It provides pool water analysis services for control and non-commercial swimming pools.
