Legionella analysis is a type of analysis required under the Regulation on Legionnaires’ Disease Control Procedures and Principles, Regulation on Prevention of Risks of Exposure to Biological Agents.
Bacteria that can reproduce in humid environments can be carried by the humidity of the air and settle in the human body through respiration. There are two distinct diseases caused by Legionella bacteria, legionnaires’ and pontiac fever diseases. Sometimes the disease can be overcome without symptoms, but sometimes it can have fatal consequences if treatment is not sought.
