Sewage Sludge Analysis

Sewage sludge analysis is included in environmental legislation under the Regulation on the Use of Domestic and Urban Sewage Sludge in Soil and the Regulation on Landfilling of Waste. If domestic and municipal sewage sludge is to be used as a fertilizer additive in soil or sent to landfill as waste, it must meet the requirements in the regulations just mentioned.

Within the scope of the Regulation on the Use of Domestic and Urban Treatment Sludge in Soil, it is necessary to have samples taken and analyzed for the stabilized treatment sludge analysis certificate in Annex-2B. The purpose of this analysis report and other reports and information is to obtain a stabilized treatment sludge use permit. With the permission certificate obtained, it is proved that the treatment sludge is used in a controlled manner without harming humans, animals, plants and soil.

Within the scope of the Regulation on Landfilling of Wastes, the parameters in the Annex-2 table of acceptance criteria for landfilling of wastes are another type of analysis performed for sewage sludge to be sent to landfill as waste.

The reports of the laboratories authorized by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change on the subject of sewage sludge analysis are valid. AEM Laboratory provides services on sewage sludge analysis with its expert staff, technical facilities and quality service.
