Air Quality Measurement

Air quality measurement, also known as emission measurement, is included in the environmental legislation within the scope of the Regulation on the Control of Industrial Air Pollution and the Regulation on Air Quality Assessment and Management. Measurements are repeated during the environmental permit phase or every 2 years for control purposes.

Air quality measurements should be carried out as monthly monitoring when the masonry material is stored in the open (outside the closed area) and the mass flow rate of the gas discharged from the chimney is exceeded. Modeling may be necessary before measurements. Since monitoring is carried out, the measurement period specified in the legislation usually takes 2 months with monthly analysis results.

In order to start emission measurement, it is necessary to log in to the Ministry panel. The system gives a date 5 days at the earliest. Various information and documents are required for reporting after the measurement.

The reports of laboratories authorized by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization for air quality measurement are valid. Launched in 2019, MELBES collects air quality measurement requests. MELBES assigns the requests to authorized laboratories. Measurements to be made within the scope of EIA are excluded from MELBES. AEM Laboratory can be contacted for air quality measurements for EIA, out-of-scope and control purposes. If air quality measurement is to be performed within the scope of environmental permit, an application should be made to MELBES.

AEM Laboratory is an organization authorized by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and accredited by Türkak for air quality measurement with its expert staff, technical facilities and quality service.
